Tracking in LeadsWithDemos

This section in LeadsWithDemos provides access to two tracking functionalities: the ‘LWD Tracking Script’ and the ‘Add Tracking Snippet’.

LWD Tracking Script

This tracking script is essential for displaying your LeadsWithDemos popups and forms on your website or any other site where you wish to show your LeadsWithDemos capturing forms. For WordPress product demos and LeadsWithDemos landing pages, the “LWD tracking code” is integrated natively, so you do not need to add it manually.

If you plan to use our popups and forms, you need to ensure that this tracking script is placed before the </head> tag on every page of your website where you want to start capturing leads.

The LWD tracking script allows us to capture behavioral data, including the number of form submissions, interactions with your unique lead magnet, and much more.

When you click on the “LWD Tracking Script” button, a popup window will appear, allowing you to click on the code itself to copy it and add it to your website.

Add Tracking Snippet Button

This feature allows you to incorporate new tracking snippets, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager into your LeadsWithDemos landing pages. It’s designed for seamless integration of various tracking tools to enhance your analytics capabilities.

Upon clicking the “Add Tracking Snippet” button within the tracking tab, a popup window appears, presenting you with a dropdown list to choose the type of tracking pixel you wish to add. This includes:

Google Analytics

Selecting this option requires your Google Analytics 4 measurement ID. Google Analytics is crucial for detailed analytics regarding user interactions on landing pages. By choosing this and clicking ‘Add Tracking’, you need to enter your Google Analytics 4 measurement ID, found within your Google Analytics account. This ID is vital for integrating your LeadsWithDemos site with Google Analytics, enabling the tracking of visitor behavior, traffic sources, and other essential metrics.

Google Tag Manager

This option will prompt you to enter your Google Tag Manager container ID. Google Tag Manager is a flexible tool for managing and deploying marketing tags (code snippets or tracking pixels) on your pages without altering the actual site code. When selecting Google Tag Manager and clicking ‘Add Tracking’, you are required to provide your container ID, which is found in your Google Tag Manager account. The container ID is your unique identifier in Google Tag Manager, facilitating the management and deployment of a variety of marketing and analytics tags.

Custom Tracking Snippet

If you opt for adding a custom tracking code, you will need to assign a unique name to your snippet and decide where to place it (in the header, footer, or both), based on your specific tracking needs. This degree of customization is significant for ensuring your tracking code is executed properly and captures the desired data. Upon selecting this option, make sure to enter all necessary details and click ‘Add Tracking’ to complete the setup process.

In the tracking tab, you can add specific code snippets tailored to your unique tracking requirements. Whether your focus is on analyzing user behavior, exploring funnel dynamics, or honing in on conversion tracking, these customizable snippets enable targeted data collection and analysis.

Within the ‘Tracking’ tab of your LeadsWithDemos site, you can quickly assess whether your custom tracking snippets are already set up. If this section is empty, you can add new tracking snippets by clicking on the ‘Add tracking snippet’ button. If it’s already populated, you will see a comprehensive overview of your current tracking setup, including:

Search bar

Use this tool to swiftly locate specific tracking snippets. It’s designed to simplify navigation and save time when managing multiple tracking codes.
