Adding vectors to your LeadsWithDemos site enhances the knowledge base of your AI assistants. Follow these step-by-step instructions to create and manage vectors effectively.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Navigate to the Vectors Tab
- Login to your LeadsWithDemos account.
- From the main dashboard, click on the site where you would like to add the vector for the AI assistant.
- Then navigate to the AI Assistant section in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Settings section and then click on the Vectors tab to access your vector management options.
Step 2: Open the Add Vector Window
- In the Vectors tab, locate the Add Vector button, typically positioned at the top right corner of the interface.
- Click on the Add Vector button to open the vector creation window.
Step 3: Enter Vector Details
- A pop-up window will appear prompting you to enter the details for the new vector, which includes the vector’s name.
- Enter a unique name for your vector in the provided field.
- Once you have entered the name, click on the Continue button to proceed
Step 4: Review Your Vectors
- After creation, the new vector will be listed in the Vectors table, along with details such as Vector Name, Vector ID, Size, File Count, and Updated At.
- You can manage the vector from this table, including options to edit or delete the vector as necessary.
Step 5: Edit the Vector with Files or URLs
- In the Vectors Manager table, locate the recently added or created vector. Click the edit icon next to the vector.
- In the editing window, you will find two dropdown lists: one labeled “Files” and the other “Knowledge sources”. Use these to select the file or URL knowledge sources you want to add to the vector.
- Choose the files or URL knowledge sources from the available options in the dropdown lists that you want to associate with this vector.
- If you need to add more files or URL knowledge sources, simply click the edit icon for the desired vector again and repeat the process until all necessary files or URLs have been added.
Please be mindful of the files or URL sources you add to each vector, as they directly impact the knowledge available to each AI assistant assigned to those vectors.
How to delete a Vector
To manage a vector, including deleting it, navigate to the Vector Manager table. Simply click on the delete icon of the vector that you would like to remove. Once clicked, a pop-up window will appear for you to confirm your action.
You can also delete vectors in bulk. Simply select from the Vector Manager table all vectors that you would like to delete, and click on the delete icon located before the “Add Vector” button. A pop-up window will appear for you to confirm your action.
