FAQs

How do I verify a sender with a Gmail/Yahoo address?

To verify a sender with a Gmail or Yahoo address in LeadsWithDemos:

  1. Add the new sender using their Gmail or Yahoo email address in the Senders section.
  2. LeadsWithDemos will send a verification link to that email address.
  3. Open the Gmail or Yahoo inbox, find the email from LeadsWithDemos, and click the verification link.
  4. After clicking, wait up to 10 minutes for the status to update in LeadsWithDemos.
  5. Once verified, a green icon will appear indicating the sender is ready to use. If a red icon shows, the email hasn’t been verified yet—wait a little longer and it will update automatically.

This process ensures you own or have access to the Gmail/Yahoo email, helping maintain deliverability and trusted communication.

How do I verify a sender at my own domain?

To verify a sender at your own domain in LeadsWithDemos:

  1. Add a new sender with your custom domain email in the Senders section.
  2. LeadsWithDemos will provide DNS CNAME records.
  3. Copy these DNS records and add them to your domain provider’s DNS settings.
  4. After updating your DNS, click ‘Verify’ in LeadsWithDemos. DNS propagation can take up to 72 hours.
  5. Once verification is complete, you’ll see a green verification icon for the sender. If you see a red icon, the process is still pending or there may be an issue with your DNS setting; double check the records if needed.

This DNS authentication proves domain ownership, authorizes LeadsWithDemos to email on your behalf, and ensures high deliverability.

Can I choose different “From” addresses for different emails?

Yes, you can choose different From addresses for different emails in LeadsWithDemos. When setting up or editing an automated email, you have the option to select either a default sender or a specific sender for each email.

This is managed through the Sender field in the email builder section. If you manage multiple sender profiles (such as for support, marketing, or personal emails), you can assign a different verified sender address to each type of email for better personalization and departmental alignment.

You can also manage and verify multiple sender profiles in the Senders section. Only verified senders will be available for selection when composing or editing an automated email.

Where do email replies go?

By default, replies to your emails sent through LeadsWithDemos will go to the “sender” email address you selected in the Sender field for that email. However, you can specify a different “reply-to” address if needed. When creating or editing an email, you have two options for replies:

  • Default: Replies go to the same address used as the sender.
  • Specific: Enter an alternate email address, and replies will go to that address instead (e.g., directing support inquiries to a dedicated inbox).

This gives you control over who receives responses, making it easier to direct replies to the right team or individual.

How do I check whether an email was delivered?

To check whether an email was delivered in LeadsWithDemos, you should use the Email History section of your site. Here’s how:

  1. Access the Email History section. This displays a comprehensive list of all automated emails sent from your LeadsWithDemos site.
  2. Use the search bar to find specific emails by keywords, addresses, or other criteria.
  3. In the metrics table, look for the “Email Status” column; it will show if each email was successfully delivered or not.
  4. You can also see other engagement metrics such as opens, clicks, and replies for each sent email.

Additionally, on an individual subscriber’s profile (under the “Email” tab), you’ll find a record of every automated email sent to them, along with delivery status and engagement data.

Do I need a custom domain to send emails?

No, you do not need a custom domain to send emails with LeadsWithDemos. You can use a free email domain (such as Gmail or Yahoo) by adding and verifying the sender via an email link.

Alternatively, you can use the default LeadsWithDemos sender address if you haven’t configured a custom sender. However, using a custom domain for your sender email is highly recommended for branding, trust, and improved deliverability.

Custom domain verification requires DNS authentication, but it is optional—not mandatory for email sending.

Can I change my default site sender later?

Yes, you can change your default site sender later in LeadsWithDemos. The default sender is set in your site’s General Info & Email settings. You can update the sender email address and display name at any time to reflect changes in your brand or communication strategy.

To update your default site sender:

  1. Go to the “Site Details” > “General Info & Email” tab in your LeadsWithDemos dashboard.
  2. Update the sender email information, display name, or signature.
  3. Save your changes. Your automated emails will now use the new default sender unless a specific sender is chosen for individual emails.

Does sender authentication replace list cleaning?

No, sender authentication does not replace the need for list cleaning. While authenticating your sender (verifying ownership of your email address or domain) is essential for achieving high deliverability and preventing your messages from being marked as spam, it does not clean your audience list or ensure your subscribers’ email addresses are valid.

LeadsWithDemos recommends regular list cleaning to remove undeliverable, risky, or duplicate email addresses. Our system helps categorize addresses as deliverable, undeliverable, risky, unknown, or duplicate, so you can maintain a clean and effective list. List cleaning remains crucial for reducing bounce rates, preserving your sender reputation, and maximizing email campaign results even if you have authenticated senders.

Cleaning your list and verifying your sender are both key—but separate—best practices.
