Email State and Attributes
Email Validity State
The “Email Validity State” filter lets you quickly segment leads based on their email verification outcome. LeadsWithDemos automatically analyzes each email address and assigns it to one of the following categories for simplified, actionable list management:
- Deliverable: The email address is valid and messages can be successfully delivered. These leads are prime for outreach as their contact information has been fully verified.
- Undeliverable: The email address is invalid or does not exist, meaning messages cannot be delivered. Filtering out these leads helps you avoid wasted efforts and maintain a clean, effective email list.
- Risky: The email address may exist, but there are factors—such as catch-all domains, full inboxes, or uncertain validity—that make delivery unreliable. Use this status for leads that may require manual review before outreach.
- Unknown: The verification check could not determine the status of this email, often due to issues on the recipient server or temporary technical limitations. These leads might need retesting or further validation.
- Duplicate: The email address is already associated with another lead in your database. Managing duplicates ensures your communications are not sent multiple times to the same contact and helps preserve data integrity.
Free Email
The Free Email filter allows you to segment leads based on whether their email address is from a free email service provider, such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook. This filter is particularly useful for distinguishing between personal email addresses and those associated with business domains.
Role-based Email
The “Role-based Email” filter allows you to identify and segment leads whose email addresses are associated with broad, non-personal roles rather than individual users. Role-based email addresses typically include prefixes such as support@, info@, sales@, or admin@, which are often used for generic business functions and group inboxes.
Disposable Email
The Disposable Email filter allows you to segment and identify leads based on whether they have used a disposable (temporary) email address. Disposable email services provide one-time or short-lived email addresses, which are often used for one-off registrations or to avoid further communication.
Mailable Status
The “Mailable Status” filter allows you to segment leads based on their current subscription status for receiving email marketing communications. This filter is essential for identifying leads who have either opted in (“Subscribed”) or opted out (“Unsubscribed”) of email campaigns managed within LeadsWithDemos.
By default, when a user submits a LeadsWithDemos popup or form, their mailable status is set to “Subscribed.” Additionally, when importing leads into LeadsWithDemos, you have the option to specify whether each lead should be marked as “Subscribed” or “Unsubscribed.”
