How to Design Popup and Form Assets in LeadsWithDemos
Learn how to open the popup and form design editor, update asset content, set form submit actions, review type-specific settings, and preview the result.
Short Answer
Open an existing popup/form asset from the selected site's Popup & Forms area, then use Design to edit the asset. After editing, review the settings for that asset type and use Preview to check the result before using the asset elsewhere.
Before You Start
You must be signed in, have access to the selected site, and have permission to update popup/form assets. The asset must already exist. If you have not created or copied it yet, first create a popup or form asset. Design and settings are not identical for every asset type. Popup boxes, sticky banners, slide-ins, and embedded forms each expose different controls, so review the settings after opening or saving the design.Steps
- Go to My sites, open the site you want to work on, then select Popup & Forms in the site area.
- Find the popup/form asset you want to edit.
- Select Design for that asset.
- Edit the supported content and appearance in the drag-and-drop builder.
- If you created the asset from a reusable template, adjust the copied template content and settings for your site.
- If the design includes a form block, open the form block settings and set Submit Action to a supported option such as Lead Form or Custom. Do not leave it as Select Action.
- Save the design.
- Review the settings for the asset type. Popup boxes can include popup-focused controls such as animation and floating button options. Sticky banners can include placement controls such as top or bottom position. Slide-ins can include corner position controls. Embedded forms use a different settings flow and start from targeting and configuration instead of the same overlay design settings.
- Select Preview when you are ready to review the saved asset.
Important Notes
The drag-and-drop builder is where you edit asset content. The settings flow is where LeadsWithDemos shows the type-specific settings for the selected asset.
Lead Form is a Submit Action option for a form block inside the builder. It is separate from Set as Lead Gen Form, which is an asset options menu action after the asset exists.
Designing a popup/form asset does not launch or activate a campaign. Campaign setup, campaign activation, subscriber capture, visitor tracking, and impressions are separate workflows.
Embedded forms do not use the same overlay design settings as popup boxes, sticky banners, or slide-ins. Review the embedded form targeting and configuration flow for that asset type.
Custom JavaScript is an advanced asset setting. The approved source confirms that the setting can be stored with the asset, but it does not confirm validation, sanitization, sandboxing, or safety guarantees.
